Deutsch Intensiv Wortschatz A1 Das Training

Deutsch Intensiv Wortschatz A1 Das Training is the A1 volume of the Deutsch Intensiv vocabulary training series: a beginner Wortschatz trainer that builds the first thousand words of German — with their articles, plurals and everyday phrases — the intensive way.

At A1, everything is vocabulary. Grammar at this level is simple; what a beginner needs is words — for the home, the family, food, time, travel and the thousand small transactions of a first year in German. This training book installs those words so they stay.

It is made for A1 beginners, their teachers, and self-learners who want a vocabulary system, not a word list.

The training method is the series’ signature: short thematic chapters, each one a field of beginner life — Familie, Wohnen, Essen und Trinken, Körper und Gesundheit, Kleidung, Schule und Beruf, Freizeit, Reisen, Wetter — presented with pictures and example sentences, then drilled intensively: matching, sorting, gap-fills, crossword-style puzzles, and short production tasks that put the new words into the learner’s own sentences from the first chapter. Two disciplines are enforced throughout, and they are what separate this trainer from a picture dictionary: every noun is learned with its article and plural (der Tisch, die Tische — never just ‘Tisch’), and every word is met in a phrase, because A1 communication runs on chunks, not on isolated items. The Goethe A1 wordlist territory is covered as a matter of course — this is the vocabulary the Start Deutsch 1 exam assumes — making the book equally an exam foundation. Teachers get the vocabulary strand of any A1 course, chapter-matched and photocopiable in spirit; self-learners get the repetition engineering that makes first words permanent: see it, say it, sort it, use it, meet it again.

About This Book

This is the A1 German vocabulary training book of the Deutsch Intensiv series: thematic beginner word fields (family, home, food, body, clothes, leisure, travel) taught with articles, plurals and phrases, and drilled through intensive exercises.

What Learners Will Practise

The Beginner Word Fields

The vocabulary of A1 daily life, theme by theme — the words a first year in German actually runs on.

Articles and Plurals, Always

Every noun with der/die/das and its plural form — the habit that saves a thousand later errors.

Words in Phrases

Vocabulary inside example sentences and everyday chunks, so beginners speak in phrases, not in single words.

Key Features

The intensive training circuit is the feature — presentation, drilling, production, repetition in every chapter. The article discipline is the second: no naked nouns, ever. The A1-exam alignment is the third: the word fields match the Start Deutsch 1 world.

Who This Book Is For

It is for A1 German beginners, Start Deutsch 1 candidates, DaF teachers needing a vocabulary strand, and self-learners building first words systematically.

How to Use This Book

Train a chapter at a time, daily — A1 vocabulary obeys frequency. Speak every phrase aloud; first words must live in the mouth. Label your home in German as the Wohnen chapter lands: the book works best when it escapes the page.
